Empower Texas Emergent Bilinguals for Language Success

Language Essentials for Texas is a supplemental resource built specifically for Texas educators and Emergent Bilinguals. This easy-to-implement series helps students in Grades K–8 progress toward reclassification by building academic language skills across listening, speaking, reading, and writing and becoming familiar with language proficiency assessments such as TELPAS.

Aligned to the Texas English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS), the program provides guided, partner, and independent practice with tasks similar to TELPAS, helping students build the academic language needed to confidently demonstrate proficiency across content areas while supporting teachers with targeted instructional tools.
